About Native Sons and Daughters

Western Reserve Native Sons and Daughters (WRNSD) is a non-profit organization dedicated to strengthening the relationship between fathers and daughters/sons. WRNSD is an affiliate of the nationwide Native Sons and Daughters Program. Our members include over 100 families located in or around Hudson, Stow, Cuyahoga Falls, and Green, Ohio. The Native Sons and Daughters program was created in 2002 in the spirit of the former YMCA programs known as Indian Princesses and Indian Guides.

Our members form several different “tribes” that aim to meet every month or so throughout the year in small tribe events.
In addition, there are four main events that include all tribes every year:

  • Fall Camp
  • Winter Camp
  • Spring Camp
  • Banquet

Check out the events page for more information about events.

Members typically join our organization when the kids are around elementary age, often as early as Kindergarten, and usually remain active until around high school age.

We understand schedules are busy, and thats ok! Not all members are able to be active at all events, and thats no problem.

Any family and child can join at anytime during the year, if you would like more information please contact us and an officer will get back to you within the week.
